Come see me at 1634 'B' Street in Hayward!
I have had more than 15 jobs in my life (stories for another time!). While doing data entry for a payroll company almost 20 years ago, we employees were treated to chair massages at tax season as it was the most stressful time of year. I'd never experienced an employer that had this particular 'perk' for its workers! I absolutely loved it, and I decided I wanted to bring that same joy and relaxation to others. A short 12 months and 150 school-hours later, while working part time and being a mom, I became a Certified Massage Therapist. I worked at Valeria Spa in Danville, then took a break to be a foster parent with my husband. The laws changed during that time, and when I went back to school, I did an additional 500 hours for my certification. I'm so glad I did! It's not always easy starting your own business, but my advice is to follow your dreams~they'll lead you to amazing things!
Personally, I love the beach, camping, music and hanging out with my family and our dog. I adore my clients and do my best to help them with stress, movement and mobility issues. I have the best job ever!

Services
~A thorough medical history will be taken~ in some cases a physician's release may be required before treatment can begin~
SWEDISH MASSAGE is a gentle-to-vigorous system of touch, slow and smooth, calming and rhythmic. Known to help reduce stress and promote relaxation, I use these strokes in ALL my treatments. A great massage for the ‘beginner’! Deep Swedish utilizes the same technique with the goal of going deeper into the muscles a little bit at a time.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE begins with light Swedish strokes to help relax the muscles. It’s very soothing and eventually more pressure can be applied, often relieving chronic pain, aiding injury rehab and reducing inflammation-related pain. I prefer to integrate deep tissue techniques with other massage modalities such as:
CUPPING is a technique in which special silicone cups are put on sore muscles/areas to create suction, as opposed to the therapist using hands/thumbs/elbows for pressure. This vacuum/negative pressure helps open up superficial capillaries to bring blood closer to the surface for healing, as well as helping create space among the underlying subcutaneous tissues. This increased space is said to allow for more fluid exchange, which in turn aids in healing. A great option that can help with pain, inflammation, & relaxation, cupping is used as a type of deep-tissue massage and is a unique sensation. Most people experience redness where cups have been applied, lasting 2-24 hours, and longer in some cases.
IASTM stands for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. I use a stainless steel tool for techniques on larger muscle groups. It’s said to help loosen restrictions in the fascia surrounding muscles, which is often the actual cause of pain and ‘knots’. Most people experience redness (or 'ecchymosis') on areas where tool is applied, lasting 2-24 hours, or longer in some cases.
ACTIVE RELEASE is a technique where YOU are actively involved in what your body does/feels while the soft tissue (muscle, fascia, etc.) is manipulated. I'll find the spots, you make the movements to your level of comfort. We can address many issues in your session, or just one area at a time. Try it!
